Sun City: Tri-ing since 1993!
Sun City Tri is one of the North East's leading Triathlon Clubs, catering for all levels from absolute beginners to World Championship medal winners. The club was started in 1993, so 2012 sees us celebrating 19 years of Tri in Sunderland. We have members who have competed for almost 20yrs, several Ironman finishers and lots of members who just enjoy getting fitter. Whatever you want from Triathlon we reckon we have the knowledge and skills to make Triathlon a great experience for you (and we have the "STAR MARK" & "CLUBMARK" to prove it), plus we're one of the most welcoming clubs around.

SWIM SESSIONS CLARIFICATION: (Added 11.01.12)
Following is a summary of our current swim session timings and locations:-
Tuesday:
Session One: 18:00 - 19:00 Thornhill School (Juniors - Coached, At least 1 adult lane - Uncoached)
Session Two: 20:00 - 21:00 Boldon School (Adults - Coached)
Thursday:
Session Three: 20:00 - 21:00 Thornhill School (Adults - Coached)
Usual session fees apply to all sessions.
The sessions are open to all members and are on a first come first served basis.
Non-Members are welcome to access any of the adult sessions, but, in accordance with club protocol must join the club within one month if they wish to continue swimming.
If anyone has any queries, please do not hesitate to contact one of the committee.
NEW SWIM SESSION (Juniors): (Added 04.01.12)
From next Tuesday (10th Jan) at Thornhill School we will have an additional swim session from 6-7pm. The session will primarily be a coached session for our Junior triathletes and they will be given priority on lane space.
We will endeavour to have at least one lane where adult members will be welcome to swim, however, a point to note is that the adults will be an un-coached swim.
We look forward to you supporting the session.
NOTE: This session is NOT replacing the Boldon session (8-9pm), which is still going ahead as usual.
Usual session fees apply.
THURSDAY SWIMMING - NEW SESSION: (Added 02.11.11)
Due to the ongoing maintenance at Monkwearmouth, we have arranged a new venue for the Thursday swimming session.
The session will be running from this week (3rd Nov) and held at Thornhill School from 20:00-21:00. The school is located on Thornholme Road, Sunderland SR2 7NA, between Barnes and Ashbrooke.
The session is open to all members and as with Tuesdays will be on a first come first served basis. (We will endeavour to sort out arrangements for our junior members in the near future).

NEW SWIM SESSION (Juniors): (Added 04.01.12)
Due to the on-going maintenance at Monkwearmouth School pool, we have decided to open the Tuesday pool session 20:00 - 21:00 at Boldon school to all adult members.
We have a maximum of 30 spaces available for the session, this is a safety restriction by the pool Owners that we have to comply with.
Therefore, the 30 spaces are on a first come first served basis - we are relying on you to be sensible and self police.
We hope to have a solution to the Thursday / Saturday sessions as soon as possible.
