Some great racing against a large field that was truly national, with a strong north-east contingent. This is a really tough race and the run in particular was dominated by the specialist fell runners- 1hr 18 was the fastest run split for a complete ascent AND descent of Helvellyn! The blazing weather and chilly water made things extra tough.
Four hardy sun city athletes came through to finish- helped along by the pom-pom girls and boy! With 400 starters (80 DNS!) and around 30 DNF the results are a real credit- well done lads!
